            Warren Cassell

            Warren Cassell, our Managing Attorney is an Attorney at law practicing in the Eastern Caribbean.  He holds a Bachelor of law degree from the University of the West Indies and a Master of laws degree in Intellectual Property and Entertainment law from the Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco California.   He is the co-founder of Cassell & Lewis (formerly Cassell Law).  Mr. Cassell served as the exclusive agent in the Eastern Caribbean for the Performing Right Society (PRS) – a UK based organization that collects royalties whenever music played publicly.   Mr. Cassell has spoken at several conferences in the region on intellectual property issues.  He conducts Intellectual property Audits for companies and organizations.

            Coleen Lewis

            Coleen B. Lewis, LL.M, B.A (Hons), Attorney-at-law, upon graduating from the University of the West Indies, Mona, in 1994, started her professional career as a Presenter/Producer in the Radio Department of the Jamaica Information Service (J.I.S.). Later, she continued her childhood dream of being a lawyer by pursuing legal training in England where she was admitted to the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. She then returned to Jamaica, and went on to being admitted to, and practising as an attorney at law, at the British Virgin Island, Belizean and Jamaican Bar.  



            Possessed of a Masters in Telecommunications and Information Technology Law, Coleen currently lectures Media Ethics and Legal Issues at the Caribbean Institute of Media Communications, University of the West Indies, Western Jamaica Campus and tutors law at the Faculty of Law, University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. She has lectured Entertainment Law at the Vocational Training Development Institute as well as at the Red Stripe sponsored Diageo Learning for Life Project Artist programme. 



            Coleen served as the Acting Senior Legal Officer of one of Jamaica’s leading newspaper publishers, the Gleaner Company Limited.  She continues to offer her legal services in the areas of Intellectual Property law, Entertainment law, and Corporate & Media law representing various stakeholders in the Media and Entertainment Industry.

            Coleen is committed to serve above self and as such has been actively involved in the Rotary Club since 2003. She is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Trafalgar new Heights, Jamaica.

            Her interest and involvement in the media and the creative arts extends to the producing radio and television programmes and commercials as well as theatrical productions.  She is also the co-host of Talking Point on NewsTalk 93FM.



            A former member of the University of the West Indies Singers and the Jamaican Folk Singers, Coleen now lends her voice to the Diocesan Festival Choir. She loves sports, especially tennis, squash, table tennis, volleyball and basketball, despite that fact that her ability to play any of those sports fall short of her level of interest. 


            Ewan D. A. Simpson

            Ewan Simpson, Attorney-at-Law, holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Intellectual Property Law, from the University of Turin (Italy) where he studied on scholarship from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in 2009. He was called to the Jamaican Bar in 2004, having completed studies at The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona (B.A. Geography) and Cave Hill (LL.B), as well as the Norman Manley Law School, and has been a Junior Legal Consultant to the Ministry of Education (Jamaica) since February 2010.

            A multidimensional, creative and analytical mind, Simpson wears many hats and can be described as a young veteran in the Jamaican entertainment arena. He has a wealth of experience in production and events management, and has been a production and entertainment consultant to major entertainment stakeholders, including the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival producers, Turnkey Productions. He is also a mentor, advocate and lecturer in the areas of Intellectual Property Law, Entertainment Law and Artiste Management, and currently Co-hosts a radio Talk Show, ‘Talking Point’ on Newstalk 93 Fm on Monday Nights at 9 pm which addresses these areas of concern to the enhancement and development of the Creative Industries in Jamaica.

            A former President and Chief Musical Arranger of the University Singers, Simpson currently serves as National Adjudicator and Workshop facilitator in music and the Performing Arts for the JCDC and has toured the world extensively as an instrumentalist, vocalist and performance coach, as well as artiste development and Intellectual Property expert.
